How processing Level II and III Line Item Detail Impact your rates

Processing  Level II and III Line Item Detail and your rates

Level II and Level III Line Item detail, also referred to as Level 2 and Level 3 processing, is additional information that is  attached to a credit card transaction.

Level II and III Data provides additional line item information about the transaction. Information you would find on an invoice that is passed with the payment transaction and applies to commercial, corporate, purchasing, business, and government credit cards.

Transactions submitted with Level 2 and Level 3 payment detail qualify for lower interchange rates. Transactions transmitted with level 3 vs. not can vary by 1.50% for the same transaction.  This is all interchange and before your processor adds their markup.

If you sell to other business or government and not processing level 3 or working with an experienced level 3 payment consultant.   Your currently losing up to 1.50% of potential revenue on commercial related transactions.
